Sarah Hussey is a Boston University student actively involved in campus media organizations like BUTV and WTBU. At BUTV, she leads a team of students to produce pre-recorded news broadcasts. Over at WTBU, she created and hosts her own two-hour radio program, In The Country, featuring country music and insightful commentary. Beyond her work in student media, Sarah serves as an Athletics Assistant in the university’s Video Production Department, where she directs live sports broadcasts for ESPN+.


Sarah is inspired by the powerful female filmmakers that have come before her, like Greta Gerwig and Sofia Coppola. Her favorite works include Call Me By Your Name, Little Woman, Euphoria, and Fleabag.

Sarah has lived in Norwalk, Connecticut her whole life before moving to Boston to continue her education. She grew up with New York City at her fingertips, inspired by the art at the MET and the Alice in Wonderland statue in Central Park.
